Lana Del Rey (拉娜·德雷)

This was the final year of the 癸未 Major Fate Cycle. The earthly branch 未 of the cycle clashes with the 丑 of the Year Pillar, which represents family foundation and early environment. This directly impacts the Year Pillar, indicating family changes and leaving home for a distant place. The current year is 己卯. The heavenly stem 己 (Partial Seal) appears, seemingly a favorable element. However, the earthly branch 卯 is the most unfavorable Partial Wealth (Wood) element in the chart. Furthermore, 卯 harms the Hour Pillar's 子 water and also breaks the Month Pillar's 午 fire. 卯 as Partial Wealth also represents desires and material indulgence. In a year where the unfavorable element gains strength, desires become hard to control, leading to indulgence in harmful habits (like alcoholism). Simultaneously, the 子卯 harm indicates troubles and disputes arising from personal actions (as the Resource Star 子 water is harmed). With both the Parent and Children Palaces impacted by clash and harm, family relations were tense. Parents, worried about their child's future, took the strict yet protective measure of sending her to boarding school. The appearance of the Partial Seal in the current year also signifies that despite the environmental change, she could receive new guidance and discipline (school environment), marking an important period of correction and consolidation in her life.

This year coincided with the 癸未 current year, which forms a 丑未 clash with the Year Pillar 乙丑, making it a year of Clashing with and Harming the Year's Ruling Star. This signifies major life changes and inner turmoil. Such intense impact, however, is precisely the catalyst for someone with a Seven Killings structure to break with the old and establish the new. The earthly branch 未 of the current year is the Partial Seal, a favorable element for the Day Master 辛金, representing shelter and learning. With the Seal Star gaining strength, she found stability living with her aunt and uncle (representing sheltering figures of the Seal Star) and began learning guitar (Seal Star governs learning). Concurrently, the Hua Gai Star appeared in the current year. This star, representing unique talent and artistic perception, guided her to express herself and heal through music (Resource and Expression Stars). The Major Fate Cycle 甲申 has an earthly branch 申 as the Robbery Wealth (Peer), which is a strong root for the Day Master, enhancing her self-awareness and determination, providing inner strength for quitting alcohol and reshaping herself.

This year was within the 甲申 Direct Wealth Major Fate Cycle. The earthly branch 申 of the cycle is favorable for the Day Master, enhancing the Peer energy within, awakening self-awareness and the courage to act for ideals. The current year 乙酉 has the heavenly stem 乙 (Partial Wealth) appearing, representing desire and attempts for career and fame. The key lies in the earthly branch 酉 of the current year clashing with the earthly branch 卯 of the Day Pillar, forming a 卯酉 clash, and the heavenly stems 辛 and 乙 also clash, constituting a Heaven-Earth clash on the Day Pillar. Such a violent clash signals a major shift in life trajectory, often accompanied by environmental changes (moving to New York) and identity transformation (debuting with a stage name). It agitates the Day Branch Spouse Palace (also representing the inner world and fixed environment), stimulating an internal force for change. Simultaneously, the current year's 酉 is the General Star, enhancing leadership and desire for expression in a specific field (music). Although the Wood (Wealth Star) of the current year is an unfavorable element appearing, suggesting initial material returns might be limited, the Metal (Peer) from the Major Fate Cycle and current year is favorable, giving her the confidence and determination to stay true to herself and forge a career in a new environment.

The current year is 丁亥. The heavenly stem 丁 (Seven Killings) appears, representing pressure, challenges, and opportunities in career. The Seven Killings combines with the heavenly stem 壬 (Expression Star) of the Month Pillar (壬丁 combines into Wood). This Expression Star combining with the Killing Star means she could use her talent and skill (Expression Star) to master and transform career challenges (Seven Killings), a typical sign of talent being utilized and gaining recognition from official or authoritative institutions (record label). The earthly branch 亥 of the current year combines with the earthly branches 丑 and 子 of the Year and Hour Pillars to form a Triple Water combination. Water represents the Resource and Expression Stars, symbolizing talent, works, and desire for expression. With this combination forming, creative energy surges forth, making it an excellent time for signing contracts and releasing works. Concurrently, the current year's astrological signs show Heavenly Virtue Nobleman and State Seal Nobleman, indicating hidden help from noble individuals and that efforts and credibility gain recognition from official or authoritative bodies, highly consistent with the signing event.

This year was within the 甲申 Direct Wealth Major Fate Cycle. The earthly branch 申 of the cycle is a favorable root for the Day Master, enhancing inner resolve and sense of self-worth. The current year is 戊子. The heavenly stem 戊 (Direct Seal) appears, a favorable element, indicating that talent display and learning new skills are easily appreciated, perfectly aligning with releasing works and shaping an artistic image. The earthly branch 子 of the current year semi-combines with the Major Fate Cycle's 申 into a Water combination, activating Expression Star energy and stimulating artistic expression and creative desire. The current year's astrological signs Wen Chang Nobleman and Heavenly Yi Nobleman appear together, benefiting literary creation and interpersonal opportunities. The Ci Guan sign in the Major Fate Cycle also strengthens the power of words and language, collectively providing a favorable astrological opportunity for the first public release of work.

This year was a critical node of transition between Major Fate Cycles, moving from the 甲申 cycle into the 乙酉 cycle. The 甲己 combines into Earth in the 己丑 current year (late 2009 to early 2010) combined the Wealth Star of the previous cycle, hinting at the end of old financial contracts and the arrival of new opportunities. Entering the 乙酉 cycle, the heavenly stem 乙 (Partial Wealth) appears, representing new business opportunities and resources. The earthly branch 酉 is the strong root (Lu Shen) for the Day Master 辛金, representing favorable elements gaining strength, greatly enhancing her self-confidence, decisiveness, and artistic expression. The 酉 clashes with and overcomes the original chart's 卯 wood, indicating breaking with the old and leaving the previous environment (company). Simultaneously, the earthly branch 酉 of the Major Fate Cycle is the General Star, enhancing leadership and the courage to pioneer in career. Noblemen (new managers) appeared at the right time, jointly pushing forward a major career shift.

This year she was in the 乙酉 Partial Wealth Major Fate Cycle, with the current year being 辛卯. The Major Fate Cycle and the current year form a Heaven-Earth clash (乙辛 clash, 酉卯 clash), a signal of major life transition where old patterns are forcefully broken. The heavenly stem 辛金 (Peer) of the current year, a favorable element for the Day Master, appears, representing the manifestation of self-energy, talent, and peer support, providing internal strength for the 'breakthrough'. The earthly branch 卯 of the current year repeats the Day Pillar, activating the originally strong Partial Wealth Star in the chart, and forms a 'Wealth Star clashing' with the Major Fate Cycle's 酉. This means violent changes in the fields of wealth and career. The earthly branch 酉 (Lu Shen, General Star) of the Major Fate Cycle is clashed, which actually stimulates the leadership talent of the General Star and the fortune of Lu Shen amidst the impact, allowing talent to spread rapidly via the internet (Partial Wealth, 卯). This year exemplifies how a person with a Seven Killings structure and a weak Day Master, within a Wealth-strong cycle, leverages Peer (辛金) support to seize an opportunity and achieve instant fame.

This year was within the Heaven-Earth clash pattern between the 乙酉 Major Fate Cycle and the 辛卯 current year, a signal of major life transition. The earthly branch 酉 (Peer) of the Major Fate Cycle clashes with the earthly branch 卯 (Partial Wealth) of the current year, activating the originally strong Wealth Star in the chart and also stimulating the energy of the Day Master 辛金. The heavenly stem 辛金 Peer of the current year appears, representing the awakening of personal will and a strong desire for self-expression, injecting soul into artistic creation. Simultaneously, the current year and the Day Pillar 辛卯 undergo repetition, meaning old patterns are broken, and personal career enters a brand new, repeatedly refined stage. The appearance of the General Star indicates her leadership ability and unique style are displayed. Although the unfavorable Wood (Wealth) is strong, the favorable Metal (Peer) also gains support from the current year's heavenly stem, forming a 'Peer carrying Wealth' situation, transforming immense market pressure (Wealth Star) into the driving force for artistic breakthrough, ultimately achieving this milestone album.

This year coincided with the 乙酉 Major Fate Cycle, whose earthly branch 酉 is a favorable element for the Day Master, representing enhanced self-energy. The current year is 癸巳. The heavenly stem 癸 is the Resource Star, representing talent display and artistic expression. The earthly branch 巳 of the current year combines with the Year Branch 丑 and the Major Fate Cycle's 酉 to form a Triple Metal combination. This combination is a strong Peer root for the Day Master 辛金, representing a major convergence of favorable element energy, signifying powerful teamwork and personal strength explosion. The heavenly stem 癸 of the current year combines with the Hour Stem 戊 of the chart (戊癸 combines into Fire), where the Resource Star combines with the Seal Star, meaning talent (Resource Star) gains recognition through official, authoritative platforms (Direct Seal). The current year's astrological signs State Seal Nobleman, Fortune Star Nobleman, Xue Tang appear together, indicating career gains official recognition, is blessed with fortune, and learning/creative abilities are extremely strong. This is precisely the astrological reflection of her performing for an international blockbuster and winning an international award.

The career peak this year resonates with multiple astrological factors. First, she was in the 乙酉 Partial Wealth Major Fate Cycle. The earthly branch 酉 is the Lu Shen for the Day Master 辛金, a strong Peer position, representing personal energy and decisiveness at a peak, with firm resolve and courage to break through. The current year 甲午 has the heavenly stem 甲 (Direct Wealth) appearing, and the earthly branch 午 (Seven Killings) is the career star. The simultaneous arrival of Wealth and Career Stars signifies huge career opportunities and commercial success. Although the earthly branch 午 is the Seven Killings, it contains 己 (Partial Seal), which can transform the Killing energy to support the self, turning pressure into fame and achievement. More crucially, the current year brought multiple noblemen like Heavenly Yi Nobleman, Wen Chang Nobleman, Tai Ji Nobleman, greatly aiding connections and talent. Simultaneously, the earthly branch 酉 of the Major Fate Cycle clashes with the Day Branch 卯 of the chart, forming a 卯酉 clash. Although this clash brings turbulence, it also opens the wealth storage, stimulating strong creative desire and determination for change. The album title 'Ultraviolence' and its 'violent beauty' are precisely the artistic expression of this intense collision.

In 2015, she was in the 乙酉 Major Fate Cycle (2010-2019). This cycle clashes with the Day Pillar 辛卯, a period of major life transformation where career inevitably undergoes drastic changes and breakthroughs. The current year 乙未 has the heavenly stem 乙 (Partial Wealth) appearing again, representing the release of work (Wealth as outcome). The earthly branch 未 is the favorable Seal Star, indicating inner peace, abundant inspiration, conducive to creation. The earthly branch 未 of the current year semi-combines with the Day Branch 卯 into a Wood combination, activating the Partial Wealth of the Day Pillar, transforming inner artistic conception (Wealth as manifestation of talent) into actual work. Simultaneously, the current year's astrological sign Hua Gai appears, indicating unique talent is seen and shines brilliantly, highly consistent with the album's professional recognition. Although the current year's clash with the Year's Ruling Star brought pressure for change, the favorable Earth element gaining strength ultimately transformed the pressure into artistic refinement and success.

The 丁酉 current year of 2017 was a highly emblematic year for her career. The heavenly stem 丁 (Seven Killings) of the current year appears, combining with the Month Pillar's 壬 (Expression Star) into 丁壬 combining into Wood, transforming talent and pressure into new creative energy and market value (Wood as Wealth). The earthly branch 酉 is the Lu Shen for the Day Master 辛金, and also the General Star, representing the full display of personal strength and leadership. This year, the Major Fate Cycle and the current year were both 乙酉 and 丁酉, resulting in 酉酉 self-harm and clashing with the Day Pillar's 卯酉 clash, forming a violent pattern of double clash on the Day Pillar. This clash and harm are not entirely ominous. For someone with a weak Day Master in a Seven Killings structure, clash often means breaking the old pattern and standing out. 酉 as Lu Shen, being a favorable element, actually stimulates the resilience and brilliance of the Day Master 辛金 amidst the clash, allowing her, under immense competitive pressure (Seven Killings), to push her work to dual peaks of commercial and artistic success through firm self-will (Peer Lu Shen) and unique artistic expression (Expression Star). This is the manifestation of the Seal transforming Killing structure converting turmoil into tangible achievement.

The 己亥 current year of 2019 was a key year for the arrival of the regulating favorable element. The heavenly stem 己 (Partial Seal) of the current year appears, serving as the regulating element. It represents that the depth of talent, thought, and art receives nourishment and recognition, which is the astrological foundation for the album's widespread artistic acclaim. The earthly branch 亥 is the Expression Star, forming a Triple Water combination with the Year and Hour Pillars. The Resource and Expression Stars represent artistic talent, creation, and expression. With the strong Water combination, her creative inspiration gushes like a spring, and the work is emotionally rich and highly infectious. Simultaneously, noblemen like Heavenly Virtue, Tai Ji, State Seal gather in the current year, especially the State Seal Nobleman, which indicates recognition from official, authoritative institutions, corresponding to the Grammy nomination. At this time, she was in the 乙酉 Major Fate Cycle. The earthly branch 酉 of the cycle is the Lu Shen for the Day Master 辛金 and carries the General Star, strengthening the Day Master's foundation and leadership, allowing her to have clear goals in her career and firmly lead and complete high-level artistic projects. The current year's favorable element is effective, and the Major Fate Cycle's foundation is solid, jointly促成 this major career breakthrough.

This year marked the beginning of the 丙戌 Direct Official Major Fate Cycle. The Major Fate Cycle forms a Heaven-Earth double combination with the Day Pillar 辛卯, signifying entry into an important period of stability, cooperation, and self-actualization. The current year is 庚子. The heavenly stem 庚 is the Robbery Wealth, also a favorable element appearing, enhancing self-expression and outward expansion energy. The earthly branch 戌 of the Major Fate Cycle is the Direct Seal, and the earthly branch 子 of the current year is the Resource Star. The combination of Seal Star and Resource Star is a typical sign of talent (Resource Star) being manifested through knowledge and works (Seal Star). Encountering the Wen Chang Nobleman in the current year adds further literary talent and creative inspiration. 丙火 Direct Official combines with the Day Master 辛金, meaning the combination of social identity and personal talent, transforming artistic creation into recognized works. With a Seven Killings structure in the chart, using the Seal to transform the Killing into authority, this cross-border publication precisely harnesses and transforms inner sharpness and pressure through the gentle form of literary art, achieving a sublimation of the structure.

The 癸卯 current year of 2023 found her within the 丙戌 Direct Official Major Fate Cycle. In this cycle, the heavenly stem 丙 (Direct Official) appears and combines with the Day Master 辛金 (辛丙 combination). This is Official coming to combine with me, a标志性 signal of gaining recognition from official, mainstream authorities in career. The earthly branch 戌 of the Major Fate Cycle is the favorable Direct Seal, which combines with the Day Branch 卯 (卯戌 combination into Fire), forming a stable pattern of Heaven-Earth double combination on the Day Pillar. This means personal foundation, talent, and social status (Official and Seal) achieve perfect resonance. The heavenly stem 癸 (Resource Star) of the current year represents talent output and works, combining with the Hour Stem 戊 (Direct Seal) (戊癸 combination into Fire), transforming creative inspiration into reputation and influence. With multiple Fortune Star Noblemen加持, this year her work was widely praised and honors were bestowed. This is the peak moment where her Seven Killings structure, using talent (Resource Star) and knowledge (Seal Star) to transform the Killing into authority, ultimately wins the era's crown.
