A foolish person speaks of matters and grows more confused.

it is better to keep to the old and wait for the time.

Story allusion
During the Northern Zhou, Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism disputed with one another. Emperor Wu called assemblies for debate, but after repeated arguments each side insisted its own teaching held the truth. The disputes had no conclusion. Later Buddhism became a major faith in China, and the idea of the three teachings sharing one source also developed.
