GUANYIN ORACLE LOT 70
Li Mi Rebels Against Tang
Changing affection and betrayal. Do not keep chasing what has already passed.
ORACLE VERSE
Translated verse
Day after day, you are like a bee gathering flowers.
You fly out southwest, then run east again.
When spring ends and flowers are gone, there is nowhere to search.
Yet this heart does not change its old tracks.
Original Chinese verse
朝朝恰似采花蜂,飞出西南又走东; 春尽花残无觅处,此心不变旧行踪。
ALLUSION
Story allusion
Li Mi led the Wagang forces near the end of the Sui dynasty and called himself King of Wei. Many of his generals, including Qin Qiong, Shan Xiongxin, and Cheng Yaojin, went over to Li Yuan of Tang. Li Mi later also submitted to Tang and married a princess, but then killed his wife and rebelled. He was shot to death at thirty-seven.
